about me
After experiencing my first postpartum window, I felt a strong pull to learn about how I could care for others during that transitional time. I began by studying yoga, which led to teaching movement for the prenatal and postpartum periods. After my second postpartum window I began to delve deeper into studying yoga and mindfulness, as well as intersectional feminism and care work. I am also a current student of BADT's Postpartum Doula Training. This training is providing me with practical knowledge as well as teaching me how to ground my practice in cultural humility, trauma informed care, and inclusivity. All these studies have helped me begin to understand how we can redefine parenthood and parenting as acts of resistance and use them to push for real societal change. I envision a future where all bodies are honored and treated with respect. I hope my work as a postpartum doula embodies my beliefs and spreads love and helps create a more just future where all caretakers and their bodies are valued.
